01 Portrait
Make it harder for anybody else to have a turn.

Then call the quiet agreement.
How it was made
Codex combined the original painting with an AI-generated slumped pose and a repaired red background. Code gradually rounds the back, lowers the shoulders and bows the head while holding the ornate frame and wall still.
The 15-second sequence was assembled with Python, NumPy, SciPy, Pillow and FFmpeg. It is silent and plays once, holding the final image.

02 Eating
The snack is mine.
A nine-year-old’s commentary
The country belongs to everybody.
How it was made
Codex animated selected hand-and-food areas of the existing image, preserving its painted texture. A controlled pullback reveals the full composition. After a pause, the three lower figures repeat the gesture together.

03 Humpty Drmpfty
My mother says they’re guests

and they can go home.
How it was made
Codex used selected areas of the painting to lower three balloons at different times while gradually bending the figure through the 15-second sequence. A small upward correction briefly interrupts the slump; the head follows a moment later before the descent continues. The feet stay planted.
Optional sound uses recorded balloon rubber rubbing, with a quiet ending. There is no added groan or exhale.

04 Signing
I once denied drawing on the table very loudly.
A nine-year-old’s commentary
They checked the table anyway.
How it was made
Codex separated the four painted hands and cuffs into individual layers, moving them around the wrists in staggered applause. AI reconstructed the small areas of jacket behind the hands; that background stays still as the hands move. The pen hand retains its small signing gesture.
The original PEACE document slides slowly off the table, revealing an AI-reconstructed patch of wood. The original marks on the table remain. Each man makes five staggered claps; the last follows the paper’s departure, before the scene settles into stillness.
The 15-second sequence is silent. The movement was built with code and compositing. It plays once and holds the final image.
